In 2009, I worked for three months in New York City, for the Israeli designer, Ron Gilad. As a designer, he is fascinated with philosophizing about the common objects we live with. Whilst I was there, I had the chance to work alongside Gilad on projects that would become both one-off and production pieces. Production pieces I worked closely on include several lights for Flos and Moooi, which I had the opportunity to see launched in Milan 2010.
These maquets were part of the process to produce a short stop frame animation named Flight of a chair.
